Neil Gaiman - 13 Nights of Fright
Neil Gaiman's hosting stint with The 13 Nights of Fright starts tonight on FMC. First up...
TALES FROM THE CRYPT
October 19
In this film based on the classic horror comic-book of the 1950s, five travelers have become lost and find themselves in the company of the Crypt Keeper (Sir Ralph Richardson). None of them can seem to remember how they got there.
The Keeper regales them with five stories, one for each traveler:
• "All Through the House" - A murderess (Joan Collins) is stalked in her own home by a psychotic and murderous Santa Claus.
• "Reflection of Death" - A tale of a man, his wife, his mistress, and a devastating car crash.
• "Poetic Justice" - Retired toy-maker Arthur Grimsdyke (Peter Cushing), a friendly but lonely old man, is tormented and driven to suicide by his cruel neighbor... and then rises from the dead to claim his revenge.
• "Wish You Were Here" - In this variation on The Monkey's Paw, a woman unwisely wishes her husband back from the dead.
• "Blind Alleys" - A blind man leads fellow residents of a home for the blind in a revenge scheme against the nasty, selfish ex-military building owner.
What connection do these stories have with the lost travelers? You can probably guess... but you'll still get a thrilling chill out of these TALES FROM THE CRYPT.
