Proof That I'm Still Insane...

I've just agreed to go out on a blind date.

*face palm*

One of the women I work with has been pestering me about her ex son-in-law since January. "You'd really like him." "He's really nice." "And handsome too." "Trust me." And after two months she and another woman in the office finally wore me down.

I agreed to have lunch with him tomorrow.

Oh, dear sweet lord, what the hell have I done?!

Okay, I need to calm down. It's just lunch. An hour. That's it. We'll find out we're completely incompatable, and once again I'll be left alone in my pleasant little anti-social bubble.

Of course, I could just bypass the whole torture of lunch thing, and upon meeting him say "Hi, I'm a liberal, pro-choice, Democrat." then watch as he hisses and runs for the hills... It's an option.

Sooo...how did the blind date go? My parents have been trying to get me to do the same thing, but I somehow lose the ability to hear when they mention it. Go figure. :P

It, uh, went... ;) It was okay. He was nice, and, if I was
looking for a relationship then yeah... but, I'm not. I'm
really, *really* not. And, the best part of the whole experience was that it confirmed that I'm really, *really* not.

but I somehow lose the ability to hear when they mention it. Go figure.

*snerk* Yeah, thankfully my mom stopped trying to set me up years ago. Now, if I could only get everyone else to mind their own damn business...
