Had kind of a weird, pre-cog thing happen yesterday.
I was driving Mom into the city for an arthritis treatment. We were on a two lane highway, trees on either side, winding, hilly. The speed limit was 60, and I was doing 65. I went over the top of a hill, and it just kind of hit me--Wow, if we meet a car that's stopped for any reason, going as fast as we are, we would be stains on the road. I crest the next hill and there's a van right in front of me with a blown tire.
Luckily, I, and the people behind me, managed to stop in time.
Now, if I could just put my powers to good use, like coming up with lottery numbers...
Anyway, after we left the hospital, I dragged Mom to see Elizabethtown. I really liked it. Yeah, some parts dragged, and you could tell where some serious editing had taken place--here's hoping there'll be a Director's Cut DVD--but overall it was lovely, sweet, and funny. Orlando really did a good job, I want to see him in more comedies.
jasmineskie - You're right. There totally needs to be Drew/Tom fic. Like, right now. *g*
wirrrn - I know I'm bogarting the Buffy fic of DOOM. *g* This part's going to be a bit long, and I hope you don't mind if I choose the boys' costumes.
j_crew_guy - Arrgghh! Jay and Silent Bob! Arrgghh! :P
