We have Blue-Tongue (aka Bobtail) Skinks in our yard at the moment. They sneak in at odd moments and yoink some of my kitteh's food. She lets them get away with it because they bluff her with the "I have a blue, gaping maw! I'm dangerous!" shctick. Well, that and they're bigger than she is...

prof: Oh look there, at the horizon! You see those two black dots?
us: *use the binoculars* Yeah, there's something there.
prof: It's a pair of white eagles!!

They did that with the Humpback Whale just a few years ago, and now the Japanese Government are trying to hunt them (in Australian Antarctic waters, which is kind of an act of War, but nobody seems to care as it's only animals) I hope the Bald Eagle remains in the skies over your country for many aeons after we humans destroy ourselves...
