According to Newsarama there's going to be a new Gambit series premiering in September.
A quote from John Laymen, the new writer - "Well, when I was thinking about all those characteristics I thought appealing about Gambit, it was hard to disconnect him from New Orleans, the place where he hails from, since you can describe them both in the same way: sleazy, sensual, decadent, likeably corrupt, with equal potential for fun and trouble."

*Sigh* It's been so long since I showed even a passing interest in any X-person, but this sounds like it's going to stand alone, and have "No cosmic B.S., no continual squabbles with various guilds, no persecuted mutant angst, no moping and pining over untouchable lost love." So, jeez, I might have to add another title to my hold list.
*Firmly tells brain, no, Dick's road trip will not take him through New Orleans.*
