(no subject)
Jul. 9th, 2002 01:30 pmSo, I'm back at work, enjoying my boss' vacation this week (oh my god, it's been wonderful so far. I didn't even bother taking my Xanax this morning). Going to try and get some writing done today, but right now I'm just sitting back in my rolly chair and watching insulation fall from the ceiling. It's very relaxing. Like gray snow. It's probably a health risk, but then so is the broken support beam over my head (No lie. the roofer came in to inspect the problem - ie: why part of the ceiling was bulging - and he said "Well, the main support beam over your area has broken. Oh, but don't worry, the other joists are holding it all up." And, I said, sort of nervously, "But what if they don't?" And, he said, "You won't know what hit you." Guffaw. Snort. Guffaw.
*sigh*
Here's hoping the new office is ready before hurricane season.
Going off to try and write now.
