Aug. 24th, 2004 11:22 amI have no feeling left in my fingers. Which is probably a good thing since they don't hurt anymore.
Been crocheting wire bracelets for the past week. Will continue crocheting wire bracelets for the next week, or until different supplies come in. It just hit me a few days ago that I have never been so unprepared for a show since I started doing this about ten years ago. I have nothing ready... except a bunch of crocheted wire bracelets. *g*
And, for all the city folk's enjoyment ;)
Reason #27 why
j_crew_guy will never come visit me: There was a skunk in the yard the other night. Thank God all of our animals were inside, but something must have been out there and pissed it off. The smell went through the entire house, from one side to the other, both stories.
Honestly, it's getting a bit ridiculous. I mean, we live in town! And, I can deal with raccoons getting in the garbage, and possums terrorizing the cats, and even those day lily eating deer bastards, but skunks? Come on! Shouldn't the coyotes be eating them or something?

Date: 2004-08-24 10:26 am (UTC)I actually encountered a skunk once at school (college). The school's up in the hills and I was eating dinner and suddenly this skunk comes trundling through the area. Cue me sitting really fucking still until the skunk moves away and I can leave without fear of getting sprayed.
Besides, y'all have tomato juice on hand, don't you? ;-)

Date: 2004-08-26 12:28 am (UTC)Hey,
I laugh at your skunks. I mock your skunks.
We have Red-Back Widows in plague proportions in our garage, and we're just waiting for one of the cats to bring back a highly venomous snake one of these days and dump it on the doormat. a Skunk would last five minutes over here. A racoon- eh, maybe an hour!

Date: 2004-08-26 12:30 am (UTC)Hey,
Thought I'd help y'all out with your skunk problem anyhoo- they generally don't spray unless you physically approach them, and they warn you off first by doing a handstand and grunting!
