Lots of classic horror flicks coming out on DVD -

•The Mummy, Creature From the Black Lagoon and The Invisible Man ($30, two discs each, Universal).

•Ed Wood Special Edition, out today ($30, two discs, Buena Vista), stars Johnny Depp as the B-movie maker in the 1994 Tim Burton film.

•The Ed Wood Jr. Collection ($40, six discs, Image Entertainment) includes Flying Saucers Over Hollywood, Glen or Glenda?, Jail Bait and Plan 9 From Outer Space.

•The Hunger, the 1983 vampire movie starring Susan Sarandon; He Knows You're Alone, Tom Hanks' 1980 feature debut; Roman Polanski's 1967 The Fearless Vampire Killers ($20 each, Warner).

•Elvira's Box of Horror ($30, three discs, Time-Life): House on Haunted Hill, Night of the Living Dead, The Little Shop of Horrors.

•Dawn of the Dead Unrated Director's Cut ($30, Universal), out Oct. 26, is gorier than the R-rated movie.

•Friday the 13th - From Crystal Lake to Manhattan ($80, five discs, Paramount), eight films plus extras.


Also found this about a special edition version of Van Helsing -

Van Helsing The Ultimate Collector's Edition (about $40) includes two additional discs with more extras: an interactive Frankenstein's lab; the literary and cinematic histories of Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolfman; and, in their entirety, the original Dracula (1931, with Bela Lugosi), Frankenstein (1931, Boris Karloff) and The Wolf Man (1941, Claude Rains).
