Grr, Argh, and EWWWW

saoneI got nothing accomplished yesterday. No writing. Nothing. Though, I did manage to refrain from mangling two small children. And, considering how they acted, and the fact that I was in a small enclosed space with them for almost an hour, that's pretty damn good.
Not five minutes after the nurse took Mom back to start the IV two little unholy terrors bounded into the office. The boy was only bad when he got too close to his sister. The girl... dear lord... I think my ovaries shrunk in fear. The first thing she does when she comes into the waiting room is throw herself on one of the couches and have a tantrum. And then she proceeded to spend the rest of her time there either whining or crying, except for the memorable moment when she got a tissue, used it, and then STUFFED IT BACK IN THE BOX!!.
Brat: *sniff, snot, stuff*
Me: *eyes bug out*
Mother: Now, honey, you shouldn't do that. Throw it away.
I do believe I have found the new poster child for abstinence programs. Her face and then the words: Do You Really Want To Risk It?
In happier (kinda) news, I managed to get to the comic shop yesterday where my copy of the first Supreme Power trade had finally come in. Yay! Got Nightwing, Teen Titans, BoP, etc...etc...
I finally asked for Robin to be taken off my pull list. Still feel very melancholy about that. Tim was one of the first characters (along with Dick) to pull me over to DC from Marvel.
I had stopped reading Robin months ago, but I had kept it on my list 'cause, well, hope... you know? But, I can't take it. Willingfuck has not only screwed up what was one of the best and most interesting characters in comics, he has also manged to make me completely drop something that I used to love. Considering that I stuck with Buffy through the Noxious Noxin years, that is quite an accomplishment. Congrats, Bill. :P
*deep breath*
Okay, going to try and end on a happy note. Finished yesterday by going to see Sahara. Whee! That was so much fun! Action, adventure, pretty, slashy subtext... there was hand holding, people! Hand Holding! Dirk lurves Al, oh yes he does. *beg*
