Dig a hole in the back yard...
Jan. 16th, 2007 11:17 amMy work computer has died. D-I-E-D. It is deader than a dead thing. The new guy in the office, who used to work in tech support has tried his darndest, but the hard drive is toast. I've got my mom's laptop with me so I can at least pretend to work until the new CPU comes in.
It's weird. My computer was the workhorse for the company. I was on it every day, almost all day, and now that it's gone, even though I have access to other computers, and I'm getting a new one, it almost feels like a limb is gone. You served me well for five long years, work computer. I salute you.

Date: 2007-01-16 05:49 pm (UTC)Luckily, I did have a back-up disk, I just hadn't, you know, used it for a while.
Considering I have yet to scream, or throw anything, I think I'm handling this rather well...

Date: 2007-01-16 06:04 pm (UTC)I've got a back-up disk, but I hadn't updated it in a while (whoops). And, luckily a lot of things, like the company email, are web based, so no worries on that front. Whew.

This month is making up for the past 5 1/2 years. ;)
