Jul. 2nd, 2007 10:28 amI'm 30. And so totally not freaking out. Mostly. :P
Work!drama has evolved from trying to get all our clients/contractors paid to trying to figure out where about $3500 has gone. This office has gone through that kind of crap before, only that time there was another zero added onto the amount missing. Everyone spent last week kind of seesawing between shock and betrayal. She worked here for three years. Well, there's nothing to do about getting screwed over than to accept it, and move on. And order an audit of her accounts. And talk to a lawyer. And set a court date.
So... 30.
I'm in my thirties.
I'm a hell of a lot smarter than I was when I hit twenty, so I'm hoping this will be a pretty good decade. 'Cause, 40, man, that's gonna suck. ;D
Of course, senility might be setting in early because I've signed up for
reel_spn. A re-write of the movie Tremors featuring either Sam & Dean, or Jared & Jensen due by August 22. It's good to set goals. *g*
I'm also working on something else, as repeated viewings of Supernatural, Whose Wedding is it Anyway, and Bridezillas has unleashed a bunny. It is actually turning out to be less cracktastic than it sounds. Shocker.
Also, totally not going to waste brain power angsting on the latest character death at DC. Shock value only works if the act is actually shocking, and that wasn't the same character I had fallen in love with anyway.
30.
Yikes.

Date: 2007-07-02 04:00 pm (UTC)Happy Birthday! You may request of me a ficlet! (in my fandoms, natch)
The Tremors things sounds neat. I can just imagine Sam/Dean snarking over the term "Graboid" *g*
Whom is the latest character death in the DC verse?! Not your little Gay lizard fellow whom I still know nothing about (hint hint) I hope?!!
btw- saw FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER t'other day, and was suitably impressed, not just by Chris Evan's torso either. Some comic heads in the row in front of me were jeering at the revelation of Galactus to be a gigantonormous super-cell stormcloud thingy rather than a giant dude, but I enjoyed it...

Yeah, I'm thinking of doing it RPS, though. I don't know if I want to put the Metallicar through the trauma of an underground, axle-grabbing monster. ;)

No, the gay lizard is over at Marvel. *g* They killed off Bart Allen (aka Impulse/Kid Flash II/Flash IV). After Superboy last year, and Bart this year, if Robin didn't have his own book I'd be a little worried.
As for knowing about the gay lizard (his name's Teddy, by the way *g*), I was putting together a nifty little Billy/Teddy post just full of scans, when I found out their creator--and evidently only guy able to write the Young Avengers series--has pushed back the new release date. Again. To NEXT YEAR. They were supposed to make an appearance in August in the World War Hulk crossover, but that's been scrapped too. Wee bit peeved right now.

*snort* And if it had been some huge guy, they probably would have called it lame. There is just no pleasing some geeks.

Date: 2007-07-03 02:31 pm (UTC)Hey,
I await your ficcy command *g*
RPS would also be keen, if only because then I can visualize Jared getting his Queer on *g*.
A friend of mine is still crushed over the demise of Superboy, hot little alien nudist that he was *g*
Is the Gay Lizard canonically Gay, or just in our twisted little minds?!!
Weta Digital, whom handled the Gah Lac Tus effects, were a bit concerned just to convey him as a mega-huge supercell apparently, and snuck in some anthropomorphism, including a vast shadow that kinda resembles his dildo-helmet *g*. I was most impressed by all the Gay surrounding Evan's Johnny Storm as well (Ben Grimm's girlfriend on Johnny's skanky Playbunny girlfriends: "When are you going to stop fooling yourself?") I was expecting them to out him before the film ended- and indeed, he does snog the Thing *g*

If I start ranting about how 'in my day, fandom MEANT something', or 'when I was young, we had to use DIAL UP', or anything about 'you durn kids', you have my permission to run for the hills and/or de-friend me. ;D
