Eeee! Comics! Cookies! Eeee!
Apr. 26th, 2004 12:27 pmIt's been one of those weekends where you need a weekend to recover from your weekend. *g*
On Saturday, Mom and I went to an herb festival in Richmond. Got some plants, and tasted the most amazing lavender cookies ever. I mean, I would cheerfully maim someone if there were a plate of those lavender cookies in it for me. I know what recipe I'm going to be experimenting with over the next few days.
Then, the comic shop I go to was participating in that '24 Hour Comic Day' thing. Got to talk with a friend of mine who draws comics (he's got two books published with this local, independent company, and his deal is if you buy one of his books he'll sketch any character you want. Somehow I managed to avoid jumping up and down like a little girl while he drew my Nightwing. Squee! *g*).
And, then, there was The Sale. Comics. Fifty cents each. I could barely carry my pile to the register. So happy. So very happy.
And, with each issue read, more bunnies are percolating. Read a Batgirl where Bruce tells Clark to keep Kon away from Cassandra. I believe the actual line is something like "If I find him sniffing around her again," Can't help wondering what he would say if he caught Kon "sniffing around" Tim. Okay, now I'm picturing Kon literally sniffing around Tim, and Tim commenting that he's been spending way too much time with Krypto.
