Joseph Gordon-Levitt Cast In 'Batman: The Dark Knight Rises' As Alberto Falcone - After months of rumors, Variety (via /Film) reports that the "Inception" and "500 Days of Summer" star has officially signed on to the cast of Christopher Nolan's third Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises." Gordon-Levitt will play Alberto Falcone, the son of mob boss and major "Batman Begins" villain Carmine Falcone, played in that film by Tom Wilkinson.
The role is one /Film had speculated Gordon-Levitt would get, as it's part of one of Nolan's favorite Batman story lines.
The Long Halloween is one of Christopher Nolan's favorite story lines?! And Christian Bale has said he's open to doing more Batman movies if Nolan's behind them? I know the odds of it happening aren't good, but just having the possibility is there is good enough for some heavy duty squee. :D
Also, JGL and Tom Hardy, together again. \o/

Yeah, that's the part I originally wanted him for too. But if they do make a fourth Batman film, having him as Holiday would be pretty damn sweet.
