Oh Captain, My Captain

So, I took a little time off from trying to write Blindfold prompts (btw, I'm so sorry to anyone who's left a comment I haven't responded to yet, I blame the porn ;P) to go into town today and see Captain America...



Oh my God, I LOVED it.

It wasn't perfect (but then what comic movie ever is?), but it was even better than I'd hoped it would be.

The CGI on pre-serum Steve was amazing - there was nary a bobblehead in sight - and CE did a wonderful job portraying both the non-super and super versions of him. In fact, I'd say the entire cast did a wonderful job. I really wish the movie had been about 10-15 minutes longer so we could have had more time with the Howling Commandos. And Hayley Atwell's scene where she's talking with Steve as he's piloting the plane into the arctic... uh, any moisture in my eyes was totally from allergies. Yeah, that's it.

I do wish they had drawn out Bucky's 'death' a little more. And, yes, I said 'death' because I have a feeling, judging by what happens in the comics, that we might not have seen the last of Sebastian Shaw being all slashy with Chris Evans - and can someone please get on writing some Steve/Bucky (or Steve/Stark) fic.

I also wish that we had seen a bit more of Steve's introduction to modern New York, though I did like how he was once again running through the streets in a tight white tee and khakis.

And then the after-the-credits snippet... Oh my, Avengers Assemble indeed. Can Not Wait. :D

I saw it as well and I will admit I was a little worried but was quite pleasantly surprised. And I can't wait for The Avengers movie. Gonna be epic!

I NEED ALL THE BUCKY FIC. Seriously, I just...He went behind enemy lines for him! He pulled him off a torture table (which, wtf was THAT about? Deleted scene me thinks?) ! HE JUMPED ACROSS A PIT OF FIRE TO GET TO HIM BECAUSE BUCKY REFUSED TO LEAVE THE INFERNO WITHOUT HIM!

And ugh, god, he couldnt get drunk. He just wanted to get drunk so that what was clearly a GAPING HOLE in him wouldn't hurt so much at that moment. Yeah, thats when *I* cried. Even Tommy Lee Jones knew how much Steve adored him.

So, yes. Fic. Please. I need all the fic. Help me.

I have a theory about that which ties into what happened to Bucky in the comics, especially if we're going to get more Captain America (without the rest of the Avengers) movies.

IDK, I want to write something, but I'm afraid it would all just be a rambling mess at the moment. Besides, I can see this plot type thing looming in the distance... Ugh, hot boys being all cute together will be the end of me (or at least my free time) I swear. ;P

Sorry, not me. Though if you happen to find it again I'd love a link. I tend to be more of a DC girl - or I was until the whole reboot mess, grrrr - so I'm not overly familiar with the in depth histories of the Marvel universe.
