Evil Since 1994...
Sep. 15th, 2002 09:38 amWhee! Yay me! Finally made my own icon. It's not originally what I was going for, but it'll do 'til I have enough time to make something better.
As to why I used Chamber... Well, thanks to the new X-Men Icons series I have rediscovered my love for Jonathan Evan Starsmore. I had forgotten what a damn cool character he could be, if handled properly (and given more to do then just stand around and insert an occasional cliched British phrase into a conversation).
Thinking back, I also came to a realization. Chamber was the reason I got into comics. Way back in 1994 a friend brought over a stack of comics, mainly X-titles, to try to lure me to the darkside (in case you were wondering-- it worked). Anyway, one of the books was Generation X. I really liked it, especially one character in particular, so I asked my friend 'where does a person find such things?', and he said 'a comic book store', and I said 'Ohhhhhh'.
Now, you have to understand, the only places I had seen comics were the small displays in bookstores, and the 5-6 general (Think Wolverine, Superman, blah, blah, blah) titles I saw crammed on the bottom shelf of the magazine rack in the drug store. As you can imagine, the first time I stepped foot into an actual wall-to-wall, major-and-independent-company-having, honest-to-all-the-gods-of-geekdom COMIC store my eyeballs nearly fell out.
My transition to fangirl had started...
Anyway, new icon! Yay me, again! *g*
