You get the feeling that there's some higher, spiritual power, but it's not like 'angels we have heard on high, hallelujah' spiritual. It's more karma-like, 'be careful what you do because I will come around and bite you on the ass', twisted kind of spiritual.
The main character is wonderfully sardonic, and sarcastic, and cynical, and I have such a crush. *g*
And, there's a really cute brother, and hot bartender, so, yeah, you're probably going to like it. ;D
