Jul. 4th, 2006 10:08 pmthanks for all the birthday wishes *g*
Just have to say, I have the best mom, EVER. I now own a copy of The DC Comics Encyclopedia. *geeks out*
Saw Superman, and I liked it. I really liked it. It wasn't as good as Batman, of course, but it was up there. If you don't pay attention to the plot, and just concentrate on the pretty, all will be well.
I do have a question for anyone who's seen it. , was one of the planets the meteor-thing shot by Apokalypse?
If so, you know, what an awesome little shout out.

Date: 2006-07-06 02:59 pm (UTC)I've never really cared for Superman- who gives a toss about a hero with no darkness in him and who cannot be harmed by conventional means? Routh made him more approachable and friendly.
Loved how Richard learned all about Clark from Jimmy, not Lois!
The Piano-Fu was ace, true. Although poor Jason's going to be firing blanks when he grows up, as hybrids of two different species are nigh always sterile *g*
Also enjoyed Gay Aussie Rules star turned actor Ian Roberts as Lex's camera wielding thug.
:deflects your Kryponite carrots with super-eyeball: C'mon, it's Routh/Marsden. How can I not slash them?! *eg*

Date: 2006-07-06 03:54 pm (UTC)While I'm still a Bat-family girl at heart, I think what started my push towards Superness was Tom Welling's cheekbones. *g*

Date: 2006-07-07 02:15 am (UTC)He is pretty, true, but the show plumetted in interest for me after the first season. Much like THE OC, things got a whole lot less homoerotic in season 2 (er...not that I ever watched THE OC, you understand). Plus Welling then did the ultra-shite remake of one of my fave movies, JOHN CARPENTER'S THE FOG. I was like "Bad Tom! Papa Spank!"
